Wild Secret Mage Hearthstone Deck Guide

Wild Secret Mage is a deck that takes advantage of Secret synergies available in the Wild format to create insane Tempo swings. Be sure to read this guide before playing piloting the deck on the Wild Ladder!

Wild Secret Mage  Overview

Secret Mage has been an archetype that’s been on the fringe of the meta for some time. In the past, it was seen as a gimmicky deck that was strictly worse than the Flamewaker Tempo builds.

With Flamewaker rotating of out of Standard and Journey to Un’goro bringing Arcanologist, however, many players began revisiting Secret Mage. What they found was that several of the tools introduced in One Night in Karazhan and Mean Streets of Gadgetzan performed much better than expected.

Innovation in Standard had carryover into Wild, where the deck becomes even stronger. Early Meta Reports put the deck just on the border of Tier 1 thanks, in large part, to the availability of cards like Mad Scientist and Duplicate.

Wild Secret Mage Play Style

Wild Secret Mage is a Tempo Deck that relies on applying pressure by developing early minion pressure and accelerating secrets into play with Mad Scientist and Kirin Tor Mage. In later turns, the deck can capitalize on Secret synergies and close the game with powerful burn spells such as Fireball and Frostbolt.
